As a Canadian-born Chinese, I used to be conflicted between the two cultures and not know where I "belonged." Now, I've found a balance and grown to embrace the harmonic intertwining — I am both, not one.

About the Artist

In my way of thinking, ceramic vessels are immensely intimate to the human figure; they're abstractions of the body itself. I focus heavily on the vessel's form rather than the material because of its ability to tell a story, almost like a portrait.
