Continuing Studies is seeking experienced instructors to teach 4-week studios at the Summer Institute for Teens in July 2023.
Do you have a passion for, or interest in, teaching youth?
Continuing Studies' Youth + Community Programs is seeking instructors to teach Communication Design, Game Design or Illustration at the Summer Institute for Teens 2023.
These 4-week studios (total of 114 hours) run on campus July 4-29, 2023, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The instructor rate for 2023 is set at $76/hour.
About the Summer Institute for Teens (SIT)
SIT is open to students ages 16-18 or who have completed Grade 10 by July 2023. This immersive pre-university program engages youth through focused studio practice, cross-studio collaborations, critiques, guest artist talks, and field trips. The program culminates with a final exhibition of student works in the Michael O'Brien Exhibition Commons and participation in an exhibition website.
We offer 11 on-campus studios in Painting, Drawing, Communication Design, Architecture + Environmental Design, Illustration, Animation, Filmmaking, Industrial Design, Game Design, UX Design and Creative Coding. Learn more about the program.
Schedule
July 4-28
Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm (unpaid).
