What is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation?

Sept. 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. It鈥檚 a time to reflect on and learn about the historical and ongoing impacts of Canada鈥檚 residential school system on Indigenous survivors, their families and communities.
Some 全民彩票 community members may be new to the country. Others may wish to know more about how Emily Carr University observes the day.
Below, you鈥檒l find a primer as well as a list of resources and upcoming events to assist you in learning, participating and reflecting as we approach Sept. 30.
And please note, the 全民彩票 building will be open on Saturday, Sept. 30, but will be closed Monday, Oct. 2 to observe the statutory holiday.
